Elixir on DEVAE
Elixir members are usually building systems where concurrency and uptime matter: real-time features, messaging, telemetry pipelines and LiveView applications that replace a whole front-end stack. Threads cover OTP design, supervision trees, deployment and clustering, and the practical question of adopting Elixir inside a company that does not use it yet. The community is small and correspondingly high-signal — people answer in depth.
The Elixir hub →Developers in Manchester
Manchester is the largest software employer outside London, built on broadcasting and production at Salford Quays, a deep digital agency and e-commerce sector, and spin-outs from the University of Manchester. Many engineers here work for London or US employers at northern cost of living, so remote and hybrid arrangements are the norm rather than the exception.
