Kotlin on DEVAE
Kotlin on DEVAE covers both halves of the language's life: Android apps built with Jetpack Compose, and server-side work with Ktor or Spring. Multiplatform projects are a frequent topic, as are coroutines and the practical questions about structuring a codebase that mixes Kotlin with legacy Java. Rooms are useful for pairing on an emulator or a build problem, since you share the screen and the Gradle output rather than describing it.

Essen sits at the centre of the Ruhr, a post-industrial region of adjacent cities that together form one large labour market covering energy, healthcare and retail IT. Living costs are among the lowest in western Germany, and commuting between Ruhr cities is routine.
