Ruby on Rails on DEVAE
The Rails hub is small and experienced: mostly people who have shipped products with Rails for years, plus founders choosing it for a new company because one developer can move fast. Threads cover Hotwire and Turbo versus a JavaScript front end, background jobs, upgrading old apps, and the eternal question of how to keep a large monolith maintainable. Rooms are used for pairing sessions in the classic Rails tradition — share the terminal, run the tests, refactor together.

Switzerland pays some of the highest engineering salaries in Europe, with work concentrated in banking, pharmaceuticals, research institutions and the European offices of foreign technology firms. ETH Zurich and EPFL give the country an unusually strong research base. Living costs and immigration rules are the main practical constraints.
