The Unity hub is for people shipping games and interactive work: gameplay systems, physics, shaders and rendering pipelines, performance on mobile and older hardware, and the long tail of build and platform problems that only appear near release. Members include solo developers, small studios and developers from other fields who use Unity for simulation and visualisation. Rooms are particularly good here because so much of the work is visual — share the editor and the profiler and look at the same frame together rather than trading screenshots.

Rio's engineering work clusters around energy, media and public research rather than startups: oil and gas systems, broadcasting, and the laboratories attached to UFRJ and PUC-Rio.
