Android on DEVAE
Android developers on DEVAE talk about Compose, architecture that survives a growing app, Play Console policies, background work and battery, and supporting the long tail of devices that iOS developers never have to think about. The hub overlaps with Kotlin and Flutter, so cross-posting with both tags reaches the right people. Rooms are the practical advantage: share the emulator or a physical device screen along with Logcat and debug together, which is far faster than trading stack traces in a thread.

Newcastle and Gateshead host a compact digital sector with roots in games development and a strong data and cloud presence built around Newcastle University. Living costs are among the lowest of any UK city with a real technology job market, which makes it a common base for remote engineers on national salaries.
