C and C++ on DEVAE
C and C++ members on DEVAE come from games, graphics, embedded systems, high-performance computing and the long tail of software that has to run close to the metal. Threads cover build systems, modern C++ features versus what a codebase can actually adopt, memory tooling, GPU work, and the interview questions that keep coming back. Rooms are good for exactly the problems that are painful to describe in text — a segfault that only reproduces with certain input, a CMake configuration that fails on one platform — because you share the terminal and the debugger.
The C and C++ hub →Developers in Birmingham
Birmingham's developer market runs on professional services, banking back offices, public sector programmes and the engineering supply chain of the wider West Midlands. The University of Birmingham and Aston feed a steady graduate pipeline, and the city has absorbed relocated teams from London looking for lower operating costs.
