    Java on DEVAE

DEVAE's Java community is a free space where Java developers share what they're building, open live rooms to pair or debug, and find teammates. The Java hub leans toward people working on services that have to stay up: Spring Boot APIs, event-driven systems, banking and enterprise integrations, and the JVM performance work that comes with them. It is also where students learning Java for coursework or interviews find people a few years ahead of them. Threads cover architecture and tooling as much as syntax — module layouts, testing, observability, migrating between Java versions — and rooms are used for walking through a heap dump or a slow query with the terminal shared. If you maintain a library or a Spring starter, post it here to find users and contributors. Public threads have their own pages and are indexed, so a clear answer about, for example, virtual threads in production will keep being found long after the discussion ends.

Yes. This page is the Java hub: it lists members who work with Java, their latest public posts, groups and open rooms. It is free to join and everything public here is visible without an account.

Post what you are working on with the Java tag, or open a live room and share your screen and terminal. Members who follow the tag see it in their feed, and the matchmaking page can pair you with people by stack and time zone.

It covers the same need with a different shape: instead of an invite-only server where conversation disappears, Java threads on DEVAE have public pages, profiles show real work, and rooms add voice, screen and terminal sharing.

Yes. DEVAE is free for individuals during the open beta — posts, rooms, profiles and the CLI included. Paid team features come later.
