JavaScript on DEVAE
JavaScript is the largest group on the platform because it sits underneath almost everything else here: React and Vue on the front end, Node on the back end, and the tooling in between. The hub is not a tutorial site. It is where people post the thing they shipped this week, ask for a second pair of eyes on a tricky closure or event loop bug, and open a room to fix it together with a screen and a terminal shared.
The JavaScript hub →Developers in Glasgow
Glasgow's software scene grew out of engineering, shipbuilding and public sector systems rather than startups, and much of the work is in health, transport and government services. Strathclyde and the University of Glasgow supply graduates, and the city has a visible games and creative technology cluster alongside the enterprise employers.
