JSON Formatter and Validator
Paste JSON to pretty-print it with 2 or 4 spaces, minify it, or find the exact position of a syntax error. Nothing leaves your browser.
Valid JSON · 3 keys · 85 bytes
How it works
Your input is parsed with the browser's native JSON.parse, so validation matches what JavaScript will accept.
Formatting uses JSON.stringify with your chosen indent; minify removes all insignificant whitespace.
On a parse error, the position reported by the engine is converted to a line and column so you can find it.
Nothing is sent to a server. Reload the page and the input is gone.
