Regex Tester
Type a pattern and test string to see matches highlighted, with capture groups and named groups listed as you type.
2 matches
| # | index | match | groups |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 8 | maya@devae.co | user=maya host=devae.co |
| 2 | 25 | jordan.lee@example.org | user=jordan.lee host=example.org |
How it works
The pattern is compiled with the JavaScript RegExp constructor using the flags you toggle (g, i, m, s, u, y).
Matches are computed with matchAll and highlighted inline in the test string.
Each match lists its index and capture groups, including named groups.
Invalid patterns show the engine's error message instead of crashing.
