The Java hub leans toward people working on services that have to stay up: Spring Boot APIs, event-driven systems, banking and enterprise integrations, and the JVM performance work that comes with them. It is also where students learning Java for coursework or interviews find people a few years ahead of them. Threads cover architecture and tooling as much as syntax — module layouts, testing, observability, migrating between Java versions — and rooms are used for walking through a heap dump or a slow query with the terminal shared.

Japanese is usually required outside international teams, which keeps the market somewhat separate from global hiring, though demand for English-speaking engineers has been rising.
